25 Free Positive reinforcements: Praise Give the student(s) a choice Token/ Point system Music time (listen to their iPods while they work or music played by the teacher) Send a Positive note home! Put the students name on the board for good behavior Give the student(s) free time, but make sure that they don’t disturb others Longer lunch period Let the student(s) play a game on the computer (educational game) Let the student(s) pick/ read a book of their choice Give them a break for food or the snack cart come during class time Take a cut on the workload Library time get a star on the chart Play Around the World or 7 up Allowed to do homework in class Smile :) Give the student(s) words of encouragement They get to watch a movie (related to the class topic) Play Jeopardy with the study guide The students get to invent their homework assignment Give them class time to edit their work Write positive comments on their work/ papers Create fun projects with their work Have them make a poster instead of a normal assignment
