"Rap it up" A new way to enter into branches of government

Agenda: Attendance Today in History Hook: Three Branches Rap - Smart Songs Have the students take out the branches worksheet from the past two classes (Station 5) Go over some points from the video that are on their sheet: Propose the question from the rap- “Who Has The Power?” Go over division of power. Play the “Branches of Power” game on iCivics together on the smartboard with their sheets out Review what the game goes over. Exit Question: “Can one branch work without the other two?” & “Do you have any questions about branches of government?” Drop off their index card with their name and answer in the voting box on their way out.
